Technology - Mr. R Ames has tried in the past to keep up to the latest technology both in the lab setting and classroom. All students have access to the school Technology Lab thru their classroom teacher. The Lab has a variety of programs available for students and teachers to use. Projects that individual teachers plan are designed to enhance classroom curriculum through technology. All students at Ames can use computer technology to access information and to produce products. The Lab is equipped with 25 eMac computers. There are also computers in every classroom. If anyone would like to make a new Apple computer donation to the school, your generosity would be appreciated. We need to upgrade some computers in the classrooms. Additional Equipment: -Digital Cameras, Digital Camcorders, Scanner -Wireless capable building -A schoolwide video/DVD network used for morning announcements and instructional videos. Our school has software programs which enhance reading, writing, math, keyboarding, creativity and problem solving skills. -Techworks Curriculum -Power Point -Kidspiration -Kid Pix -Keyboarding **Grades 5 and 6 also come to the lab for 50 minutes of technology prep once every three weeks for 5 days.
