Ames Music Program... Meet our Newest Member, Music Specialist, Mr. David Hinrichs! Ames Elementary students receive music instruction starting in kindergarten. The students learn to sing, play instruments, and dance to music, as well as read and compose music. Fourth through Sixth grade students also have the opportunity to play band instruments. The students perform That's Mr. Hinrich's helping at the Ice Cream Social in concerts during the school year, and they also have opportunities to experience music and the arts with guest artists and field trips.
