Our class spends a lot of time becoming authors. Through our daily 45 minutes of Writer's Workshop block, we learn a lot about what good writers do. We working on non-fiction books and celebrate with an Author's Tea. We are really proud of our ever-improving writing skills!

Our daily participation in the FRED (Families Reading Every Day) Program is helping us develop a love for reading. Literacy is one of our main areas of focus at Ames.
